Sophie Sanjulo vs Axle: Sophie's Death Match Ch.2

Sophie shifted quietly and looked up on top of the shattered brick, the purple Opossum Knight was none other than Axle Gear.

"I-it's him..." Sophie said in shock, she had knew it from her heart that it was Axle, due to Princess Sherry detail of the Dark Knight, his sword was silver with purple energy surging through it. Axle continued to blast and tear through houses when he noticed a little Opossum boy who was trying to run away.

"Hey you, stop!" Axle gear saw the poor boy and used his Rocket Power Speed, he catched up to him and dragged him on the ground, pinning him.

"WHERE IS KING ZEBULOS!" Yelled out Axle, putting his sword to the Opossum's neck.

"I-i don't know, please let me go..." Pleaded the Opossum, tears rushing down his face.

"Tell me now, or this will be your like day on this planet". Axle said building up energy from the sword.

"NO PLEASE, I DON'T KNOW WHERE MY MOMMY AND DADDY ARE!". the boy was sobbing hysterically, Axle smirks as the boy tried to get away, but his attempts were feeble.

"Then you must DIE...!" Axle said lifting up his sword and dropping in it down to the boy's neck.

"NOOO!" Sophie screamed and charged at Axle, she used her blue sword energy that had been saved and carefully aimed at Axle Gear, it had knocked the dark knight back and hit the front side of a small house that he already destroyed.

A cloud of dust brushes against the female knight and the boy who was quickly moved behind her, clenching her armor as if she was a guardian angel. 

"H-how did you-" 

"GO, GET OUT OF HERE, before he kills us!". Sophie commanded him to leave, he ran as far as he could to reach a safe haven away from the village.

The dark knight quickly made a recovery and rose up with his jetpack. Looked and the Opossum who dared challenge him, and what he saw and him growl in hatred, he saw a blonde hair Opossum female wielding a sword, he knew it was no other female except for Sophie Sanjulo, who's sword was almost identical to her late father.

"The child of Sparkster Sanjulo, I wouldn't have even imagined..." Axle let out an evil chuckle.

"I finally found you, after all these years of wondering, all these years of hearing about the terrible things that you've done." Sophie was enraged, there was the Opossum who took her childhood and crushed it into a million pieces, being alone, Not having a parental figure in her life. Silence fell in-between the deadly gaze of one another.

"Your people know nothing, I will slaughter the entire Opossum population this Kingdom. And take over this world". Axle said as his red eyes narrowed directly at Sophie

"We'll see about that..." She then ran at Axle trying to slash him, only to be tripped by him, Axle then grabbed her neck and then lifted her up. Her blonde hair was covering her entire face.

"Your a useless child... just like your father." Axle gear said applying more pressure, at this moment there was a slight single tear coming down on her face."

"W-why do you hate m-my father so much" Sophie said to the best of her power, threw her across from him, she landed with a big impact thud, Axle flew on top of her and punched her armor causing it to crack slightly, her face was 

"I have my reasons..." 

"W-what did my g-grandfather ever do to you?". Sophie said. At that moment, Axle punched Sophie across her face, she screamed out in pain, Her mouth and lip were bleeding.

"Imagine being the underachiever, being ridiculed by your peers. Not being awarded with any recognition of any kind..." Axle said holding up his sword staring down at Sophie.

"Once I kill you, I'm going to find the refugee camp to eliminate the whole population, what they've done to me, in the past...

Axle grabbed his sword and charged energy into it and released it down on to her, with quick instincts. Sophie dodged the sword slash quickly and ran on the other side, she grabbed her sword and began to wipe the blood off her face.

"I'm not gonna let you hurt my people, I'm not going to let you destroy the world." Sophie clenched her fist and charged her jet pack. She was charged toward Axle with sonic speed, trying to slash him.

Axle used his sword to block her attack. He then went into the dark sky, Sophie quickly followed him. He then stopped and looked back, noticing her following him. He then threw a energy shot towards her, to which she easily dodged the projectile, he then attacked her with his sword, the female knight parried his attack.

The dark knight added more force to his slash, but Sophie used all her strength to forcefully parry it, they were now locked in a fierce battle of dominance. The female knight used a her blue sword energy and slashed wanted to slash Axle with it.

The dark knight dodged her attack and used a quick slash on Sophie arm, her arm was oozing pure red blood it flowed down on the ground twenty feet in down on the ground

"Give up child, your no match for me." Axle said pressuring his sword down, Sophie tried her best to forcefully parry his attack, but Axle's demonic strength was no match for the Lady Opossum Knight, Sophie glared at him.

"I-i'm not going to give up, I have to do this for my people, my fellow deceased knights, m-my parents." Sophie thought to herself while parrying his attacks with all her strength. At that moment. Sophie pushed him back.

She used minor charged energy on her jetpack and blasted onto him, she used a quick slash attack. This caught Axle off guard, he plummeted down on the ground where they first met, he landed with a loud thud as dust and debris scattered all over the entire wrecked village.


The heroine flew down and landed on Axle's armor, cracking it completely as it fell off of him. Sophie took his enchanted purple sword as it destroyed using her Sword, scattering it into a million pieces, Axle's pure red eyes started to fade..."

"H-how, that was my source of all my strength."

"You don't deserve it!" Sophie said looking down at the Opossum. There was a rage building inside of her, she wanted and needed to end the life of the Opossum responsible for all the wars and conflict in the Kingdom, she charged her sword at full power.

"I'ts time for you to pay for your sins, this hit will be harder than death itself." Sophie said with a soft but serious dark tone.

"N-no please, we can work together. PLEASE SPARE ME!" there was an immediate fear on Axle's face. He had never seen anything like this before, at that moment Sophie's sword pierced into Axle's chest. Blood spatted out of the Opossum's mouth as he began to slowly lose conciseness and began to close his eyes, He had died.

"I have avenged my parent's death." Sophie said holding her sword spilled with Axle's tainted blood, the lady knight was also beginning to lose consciousness, she used all her energy to defeat the dark night. She collapsed on the dirt ground dropping her sword, she slipped into deep coma.

A/N: The following takes place in Sophie's mind during her coma.

Darkness, all she could see was darkness, There was no light from any direction.

"I can't see, where am I, am I dead" Sophie said.

1 hour and 30 minutes later...


The female knight was slowing to beginning to lose insanity, after being in the dark for so long.

"It hurts, I don't know where I am, i'ts hurting me so much" she was beginning to sob, all of a pair of soft hands landed on her shoulder.

"Your gonna give up that easily, are you sure your my daughter...?" the mysterious voice asked.

"Eh?" Sophie asked, the darkness soon faded into light. At that moment there was an Opossum male who was standing in front of Sophie, she was freighted.

"W-who are you?" Sophie asked curling her fist, wiping her tears.

"Don't be afraid Sophie."

"How did you know my name!?" Sophie asked, the Opossum male laughed to her question.

"Well, I'm the one who named you." he said, Sophie began to gasp.

"D-does that m-mean your m-my dad?" 

"Yes, I'm Sparkster Sanjulo your father" he said as he smiled. Sophie was speechless, tears were down her face, she ran towards him and hugged him tightly.

"You have no i-idea how long I wanted to meet you." Sophie said crying into his chest.

"Me too, you really are my daughter Sophie" Sparkster said returning the embrace.

Sophie was so happy that she was meeting her father for the first time since being born, now she was twenty one, a young adult Opossum, that had just saved the world from certain destruction at that hands of Axle gear.

"I have so many questions!" Sophie said very exciting looking up at her father.

"Well then asked away" Sparkster replied smiling.

"Why did you fight in the war like 21 years ago, you could have stayed at home taking care of mom!" Sophie said as her expression angered.

"Forgive me my daughter, I had to stop the fight the Invasion of the Devotindos Empire, If I didn't. Who knows what they could have done, I needed to fight for your safety and her mother, you two are the most important assets in my life.

"Why didn't Princess Sherry tell me little to nothing about you and mom".

"I guess that she didn't want you become too depressed, maybe trying to protect you." Sparkster said.

PROTECT ME? I WOULD HAVE BECAME CAME DEPRESSED EITHER WAY!" Sophie was irate at Princess Sherry's faulty thinking.

"But I just kept it all in when I was a kid" Sophie broke down again, Sparkster hugged her close to him.

"Sophie, sometimes Opossums do things for desperation and protection for one another. She wasn't trying to hurt you, she knew that you would be strong enough to handle it" Sparkster said wiping her tears that were on her face.

"Really?" Sophie looked up at him.

"Sophie, just looking at you now. I've seen that you've grown up with a good head. You have the power of your grandfather Mifune Sanjulo. And everybody in our Kingdom, you defeated Axle Gear, something I couldn't do and restored peace throughout our world, you have no idea how proud me and your mother are, your going to make a great leader of the Rocket Knights." Sparkster said patting her back softly. 

"I really am aren't I?" Sophie said smiling rubbing her back with her hand.

"Yes, you are". Sparkster said, at this moment his body soon began to fade away.

"It looks like I have to go back to the after life again, It was great knowing you my daughter." 

"WAIT, PLEASE DON'T GO. I STILL HAVE SO MANY QUESTIONS, WHY DOES AXLE HATE YOU? WILL I EVER SEE MOM? HOW DID YOU AND MOM WHATS GOING TO HAPPEN NOW?" Sophie said.

"All that will be answered when you reach your destiny, goodbye Sophie. Me and your mom Isabella will always be by your side, we'll always support you, we love you so much" Sparkster placed his hand on her shoulder as he went back into the afterlife.

"Goodbye dad, it was knowing you" Sophie said looking up in the sky, a single tear slid down her face.

Sophie woke up with Jolt, her head was covered in many bandages.

"SHE'S AWAKE!" called Princess Cherry, Princess Sherry rushed into the hospital room, as well as the other citizens inside the Kingdom of Zephyrus that was rebuilding after Axle Gear's invasion.

"H-how long was I gone, Princess." Sophie said with a confusion in her voice.

"You were in a coma for two weeks, thank goodness your alive, Are you alright?" Princess Cherry said, the female knight smiled.

"Yeah, for the first time in my life, I'm alright." Sophie said remembering her late father's words.

"HOORAY FOR SOPHIE SANJULO, the bravest Knight who ever lived!" Someone shouted out, the rest of the citizens who were in the room were cheering and clapping, bravest indeed. She had just defeated the most dangerous Knight in Zebulos history.

"Wait, when I was in my coma, who found me? Sophie asked.

"It was me!" the young boy said as he walked in front of the room to face Sophie with his parents behind him, she gasped. It was the boy who he saved earlier that was being attacked by Axle.

"You saved my life, so that means I had to save yours, call it an eye for an eye." the young boy said cheerfully. Sophie looked at him, this was the boy responsible for bringing her into the hospital. She hugged him passionately, causing me to blush.

"Thank you so much!" Sophie said joyfully.

"heh-heh, your welcome, my name's is Antonio."

"Come on my people, we have to let her have space, we still have to rebuild Zephyrus and make sure this never happens again, get well Sophie. Or should I say the new leader of the Rocket Knights..."

"Thank you so much my lady" Sophie said with deep gratitude. 

As they all left the room Sophie looked at the window that was open, there was a light breeze that blew across her face.

"Thank you Mom and Dad for giving your lives for me." Sophie said as she fell asleep regaining her energy.
